Dr. Rory P. Panepinto, DPM
Dr. Rory P. Panepinto, D.P.M. is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He returned home and begun practicing as a surgical foot specialist at Ochsner Hospital System in the New Orleans, Metairie, and Kenner communities in 2003 where he had the opportunity to see many types of foot conditions for over 8 years of service to the hospital before entering into private practice.
He stays active in all conservative and surgical foot care treatments. Minor surgical procedures may be performed with local anesthesia in the office setting and outpatient surgical procedures are preformed at an accredited outpatient surgical facility or within the hospital setting. He has practiced Podiatric Medicine and Surgery for 22 years. Dr. Panepinto accepts patients of all ages from infants to adults and senior citizens in all walks of life and activity levels.
Prior to medical college, he earned his bachelor's degree (with a double major in biology and chemistry) with a 4 year Leadership Scholarship at Troy State University in Troy, Alabama and earned his Doctorate of PODIATRIC MEDICINE from Temple College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was elected by his student body peers into a 4 Year Student Delegate Leadership position to the American Podiatric Students Association in 1998. After graduating medical college, Dr. Panepinto completed a 2 year residency training program in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Mercy Suburban Hospital in Pennsylvania, graduating in 2000.
Dr. Panepinto then worked in a private medical practice in Newark, Deleware for 2 years before returning home to New Orleans, La. where he was hired as a Surgical Podiatrist at Ochsner Hospital System in 2003. He continued to develop his surgical skills and specializes in reconstruction of forefoot deformities such as bunions, hammertoes, arthritic toe joint replacements, minimal incision heel pain / plantar fasciitis procedures and cosmetic surgical options may be available for certain foot conditions. Eventually, Dr. Panepinto accepted the position as Podiatric Surgical Residency Director of the Ochsner Hospital until his resignation to move into private practice where he can closer serve the community outside of the large hospital clinic setting.
