Dr. Rory P. Panepinto
Dr. Rory P. Panepinto is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He has been practicing as the only podiatric surgical foot specialist, at one of the largest hospital systems in the New Orleans, Metairie, and Kenner communities for over 8 years. He has performed over 10,000 surgical foot procedures in the past 10 years.
He is a training attending physician to Podiatry Surgical Residents and held the position as Podiatric Residency Director before stepping down from his Hospital Position to begin private practice to continue to serve his community in an effort to keep patient care custom and individual.
He earned his bachelor's degree (with a double major in biology and chemistry) with a 4 year leadership scholarship at Troy State University in Troy, Alabama and earned his Doctorate of PODIATRIC MEDICINE from Temple College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was elected into a 4 Year Student Delegate Leadership position by his peers to the American Podiatric Students Association in 1998. After graduating medical college, Dr. Panepinto completed a 2 year residency training program in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Mercy Suburban Hospital in Pennsylvania, graduating in 2000.
Dr. Panepinto then worked in a private medical practice in Newark, Deleware for 2 years before returning home to New Orleans, La. He was the first podiatrist to be employed and surgically privileged to perform independent out-patient surgical foot procedures at one of the largest medical hospitals in the region. He was the first physician to begin using lab engineered skin grafts for diabetic wound care at the hospital in the clinic setting in 2003. He continued to develop his surgical skills and specializes in reconstruction of forefoot deformities such as bunions, hammertoes, arthritic toe joints, minimal incision heel pain / plantar fasciitis. Eventually, Dr. Panepinto became the first employed Podiatric Surgical Residency Director of the hospital until his resignation to move into private practice where he can closer serve the community outside of the hospital clinic setting.
